Augustin Simmons

Augustin "Gus" George Simmons ('99), is a resident of Fort Myers, Fla. He was raised in Green City, Mo., where he finished high school. He then graduated in 1999 from Truman State University with a B.S. in exercise science and went on to obtain his juris doctorate from Washburn University School of Law in 2002.

Currently, Gus works for Aloia & Roland, LLP and his primary practice areas include: Marital and Family Law; Commercial Litigation; Real Estate Transactions; and Landlord/Tenant Law. Gus is also a licensed realtor, working in conjunction with his father, Glen Simmons, at Realty Partners Network in Southwest Florida.

All of his immediate family members reside in the Fort Myers area, including his brother, Walter Simmons (’96), who works as an ER physician and who is also a graduate of Truman State University and his mother, Marcia Simmons, who is now retired. In his “free” time Gus enjoys winter days and summer nights on the beach and doing just about anything with family and friends.

While at Truman, Gus was active in Phi Kappa Tau fraternity and was a member of the Bulldog Basketball Team. Gus returns to Kirksville and surrounding areas whenever possible to visit high school and college friends.
