Karen (Klingemann) Spencer
After
graduating with a degree in mass communication in 1989, Karen (Klingemann)
Spencer worked as an admissions counselor for Truman State University. After two
years, she moved to New York to work for Cornell Law School, and she earned an
M.B.A. from Cornell’s Johnson Graduate School of Management. While at Cornell,
Spencer met her husband, Bob, at a world record attempt for the largest
lasagna. In 1996, the couple moved to Portland, Ore., where Karen is employed at
U.S. Bank as a compensation consultant.
In addition to being a “soccer mom” to Meredith and Kathryn, she teaches Sunday School and hosts a reading group.
