Arizona Alumni Chapter
This scholarship was established in 2012 by the Arizona Alumni Chapter.

 

Chicago Alumni Chapter  - Endowed
This scholarship was established in 2005 by the Chicago Alumni Chapter and benefits Chicago area students who meet the following criteria:

  • A student entering his or her junior or senior year, and

  • A student with high academic standing, and

  • A student displaying strong leadership skills

Dallas Alumni Chapter  - Endowed
This scholarship was established in 2003 by the Dallas Alumni Chapter.  An annual scholarship has been awarded for the last several years to students who meet the following criteria:

  • Student from Texas

  • First preference for students from the counties of Dallas, Collin, Grayson, Tarrant, Denton, Parker, Ellis, Kaufman, Rockwall and Hunt

  • Strong background in extracurricular activities

  • Preference for incoming freshman, otherwise any Texas student may apply or re-apply if no freshman award is made

Iowa Alumni Chapter - Endowed
This scholarship was established in 2006 by the Iowa Alumni Chapter and reached the endowment minimum in June 2007.  The scholarship benefits Iowa students who meet the following criteria:

  • A student who graduated from an Iowa high school

  • A student entering his or her junior or senior year

  • A student with at least a 2.75 GPA
    A student who displays community involvement at Truman, in Kirksville or their Iowa community

  • Students not demonstrating financial need will receive the same consideration as those students demonstrating financial nee

  • A student whose personal statement indicates how they plan to give back to the University as an alumnus/na

Kansas City Alumni Chapter – Endowed
This scholarship was endowed in 2006.  Funds for the scholarship account were raised by the Kansas City Alumni Chapter over a period of four years through proceeds from their Annual Golf Tournament.  Each year, the scholarship is awarded to an incoming freshman at the Kansas City Alumni Chapter Freshman Send-off. Criteria for this scholarship include:

  • Entering freshman student from the Kansas City area

  • Involvement in extra-curricular activities promoting community building and service

  • Demonstration of scholastic achievement (3.0 GPA or higher)

  • Demonstration of financial need

  • Other extra-curricular activities will be considered

Mid-Atlantic Alumni Chapter: Washington DC Internship Scholarship – Endowed
This scholarship was established by the Mid-Atlantic Alumni Chapter to assist students who are chosen by Truman State University to participate in an internship program in Washington, D.C. Criteria for this scholarship include:

  • Student participating in an internship in Washington, D.C.

  • Preference given to applicants who are first-generation college students and/or demonstrate financial need

  • Preference given to applicants who have shown active involvement and/or leadership in campus/community activities and are making solid academic progress at Truman

Mid-Missouri Alumni Chapter
This scholarship is awarded annually to a Mid-Missouri student. Criteria for this scholarship include:

  • Entering freshman student from mid-Missouri

  • Demonstrates unmet financial need

  • Demonstrates leadership and community involvement

Northeast Missouri  Alumni Chapter – Endowed
This scholarship was established in 2005 by the Northeast Missouri Alumni Chapter to assist local students and reached the endowment level in February 2008. It is awarded annually at the Northeast Missouri Alumni Chapter Freshman Send-off. Criteria for this scholarship include:

  • Entering Truman freshman from northeast Missouri

  • Preference given to students whose parents are Northeast Missouri Alumni Chapter members

  • Preference given to children of Truman alumni

  • Recipient attendance at the Northeast Missouri Alumni Chapter's annual Student Send-Off on campus is encouraged

St. Louis Alumni Chapter – Endowed
This scholarship was endowed in 2003.  Funds for the scholarship were raised by the St. Louis Alumni Chapter over a period of four years through proceeds from their Annual Golf Tournament.  Each year, two scholarships are awarded to incoming freshmen at the Freshmen Send-Off in St. Louis.

  • Entering Truman freshman from the St. Louis area
  • Preference given to students involved in extra-curricular activities who demonstrate scholastic achievement and financial need.
  • Recipient attendance at the St. Louis Alumni Chapter's annual Student Send-Off event in the St. Louis area during the summer is encouraged.
