Alumni Chapters
Chapters help alumni network,
connect with other Truman alumni and families, and reconnect to
the University, and members receive a variety of benefits.
Truman currently has alumni
chapters located in the following geographic areas:
Arizona,
Chicago,
Colorado,
Dallas,
Iowa,
Kansas City,
Mid-Atlantic,
Mid-Missouri,
Northeast Missouri (formerly
Kirksville Chapter)
and
St. Louis.
Alumni chapter membership is open to all Truman alumni,
parents, faculty, staff and friends. If you do not live in a
chapter area, you can still join the chapter of your choice in
order to receive membership benefits.

Invitations & Discounts to Chapter Events
- Chapter members often receive discounts or FREE admission to chapter events that can range from receptions, picnics, sports outings to a host of other activities.
Campus Perks
- Bulldog Athletic Events: FREE admission to most home sporting events.
- Campus Rec Center: Two free guest passes.
- Truman Bookstore: 15 percent discount on all regularly priced Truman clothing and memorabilia.
- Patty's University Book Store: 15 percent discount on any clothing or memorabilia.
Travel Discounts
- Nationwide car rental discounts at Alamo, Avis, Budget, Hertz and National.
- Nationwide discount at all Choice hotels. Discount at all Choice hotel nationwide--includes Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, Quality, Sleep Inn, Clarion, MainStay Suites, EconoLodge, and Rodeway Inn. Membership code and advance reservations required. A Choice Hotels Savings Card is included in your membership packet.
- Days Inn Alumni Benefit Program: Receive a 15 percent discount off the regular room rate at all Days Inn hotels nationwide (restrictions and black-out dates may apply). The Truman Alumni Association receives a 10 percent commission for each room reservation made through this program. Cancellations and "no-shows" do not receive commission. Reservations must be made through a the special reservation 800 number included in your membership packet.
Kirksville-Area Discounts
- Comfort Inn (Kirksville location only): Coupon for basic room rate of $70 on any night's lodging for 1-2 people (not including special events, subject to availability). Advance registration required.
- Days Inn (Kirksville location only): Coupon to receive a 15 percent discount on any night's lodging subject to availability and excluding dates for special events. $85 basic room rate on special event dates.
- Depot Inn & Suites (La Plata, Mo., 9 minutes south of Kirksville): One-time coupon good for 10 percent off any room. Offer not valid with any other price reduction or discount program.
- Holiday Inn
Express (Kirksville location only):
One-time coupon for a basic room rate of $74 on any night's lodging subject to availability and excluding dates for special events. $99 basic room rate on special event dates. - Super 8 Motel (Kirksville location only): Coupon good for a one-time $38 room rate on any size room (subject to availability).
Theme-Park Discounts
- Worlds of Fun/Oceans of Fun (Kansas City, Mo.): Get up to $8 off Worlds of Fun regular admission price, or $3.50 off Oceans of Fun regular admission, or $6 off for both parks-same day "Ride and Slide."
- Six Flags (St. Louis, Mo.): Certificate for purchasing up to six tickets for $30.99 per ticket (a savings of $14 per ticket).
- Adventureland (Des Moines, Iowa): Coupon for $3 off each ticket.
Free Membership in Working Advantage, a National Discount Program
- Alumni chapter members receive a free membership with Working Advantage, a program that provides nationwide discounts for movie theaters, movie rentals, ski tickets, Broadway theatre, special family events, online shopping, theme parks including Silver Dollar City, and much more.
