Homecoming
Oct. 19-22, 2012

 
Alumni and friends are invited to a fun-filled weekend for Homecoming 2012. Some highlights include:

  • Complimentary Coffee & Donuts for Alumni & Their Families Before the Parade

  • Alumni Leadership Conference

  • Free Gifts for Alumni

  • 5K Run

  • Bulldog Sporting Events

  • Receptions Hosted by University Departments & Organizations

  • Alumni & Friends/Hall of Fame Banquet
    (This banquet includes the Golden Alumni Diploma Ceremony* as well as special recognition of Alumni of the Year, Young Alumni of the Year, recipients of the Distinguished Service Award and the 2012 inductees into the Truman Athletics Hall of Fame.)

Class Reunions
Cluster Class Reunion Luncheons will be held in the Student Union Building on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, for classes celebrating their 10th, 20th, 25th, 30th, 40th and 50th anniversaries. This year's reunion groups include:

     -Golden Alumni - Class of 1962* & All Prior Classes
     -Classes of 1971, 1972 & 1973
     -Classes of 1981, 1982 & 1983
     -Classes of 1986, 1987 & 1988
     -Classes of 1991, 1992 & 1993
     -Classes of 2001, 2002 & 2003


*Special Celebration for Class of 1962:
  Golden Alumni Diploma Ceremony
Each year during Homecoming, Truman State University honors graduates who have reached their 50-year graduation anniversary and this year marks the 50th anniversary for the Class of 1962. In honor of this special occasion, members of the Class of 1962 are invited to don a graduation cap and gown and participate in the Golden Alumni Diploma Ceremony as part of the activities planned for Homecoming weekend. The Diploma Ceremony takes place during the Alumni and Friends/Hall of Fame Banquet which will be held in the Student Union Building, on Friday evening, Oct. 19, 2012. Those who participate in the Diploma Ceremony will a complimentary ticket to the Alumni and Friends Celebration/Hall of Fame Banquet, and each participant will receive a commemorative 50-year diploma from Truman State University presented by President Troy D. Paino. If you graduated prior to 1962 and you missed out on a previous Golden Alumni Diploma Ceremony, you can still participate this year. If you are a member of the Class of 1962, watch your mail this summer for more details.
