Participate in leadership opportunities offered through alumni
chapters and
clubs. Leadership opportunities range from helping plan
an event to serving as an alumni chapter officer or committee member.

Host
an event
Consider hosting or assisting with an alumni event in your area. If you
are interested in helping plan an alumni event or have suggestions for

Organize
an alumni group in your area
If you are interested in starting an alumni group such as an Alumni Club
in your area, the Office of Advancement staff can assist you. Contact

Provide
internship opportunities for students
Offer internships, hire Truman graduates or
mentor current students who are considering careers in

Help
represent Truman State University at your local college fairs
Help recruit students by serving as an alumni volunteer at local college

Volunteer
to assist with Homecoming events for alumni
Assist with the planning and implementation of
Homecoming events for alumni, such as class reunions, the
annual golf tournament and other events.

Mentor
a student
Alumni are invited to share their wisdom and advice by
participating in the Truman Connections Mentoring Program, a network
that provides career information and advice to current Truman students.
