The Career Center offers services to help you start, advance or change your career. Not in Kirksville? Many career services are available online or by phone.

LinkedIn Career Group
Join the Truman State University Career Group on LinkedIn to connect with other alumni and current students on career-related issues. You can ask the University's Career Center staff questions about your job search, post questions to the group, and learn about upcoming career programming. Think of it as a virtual Job Club.

Experience Online Career Network: Find a Job or Post a Job

The Experience online network is a password-protected Web site that
allows you to search job openings for yourself or to post job opportunities for other alumni. To request a password to access the Experience Web site, call the Career Center, (660) 785-4353.

Résumé and Cover Letter Critiquing
The Career Center offers résumé and cover letter critiquing. Bring your résumé and cover letter by the Career Center or send them to us electronically. Contact the Career Center, (660) 785-4353; e-mail careers@truman.edu.

One-on-One Career Advising
Meet with a career counselor to discuss a variety of career-related issues including: defining a career path, researching career options, beginning a job search, or targeting employers in a specific industry. Meet with a counselor in person or schedule a phone appointment if you live a distance from campus. Call the Career Center, (660) 785-4353.

BulldogNet Mentoring Database
BulldogNet is a database of Truman alumni who have volunteered to provide career-related advice and assistance to Truman students and fellow alumni. BulldogNet is a password-protected Web site and may be searched using many options including geographic location, general career field, or employer. To request a password to access Experience system (the online program where BulldogNet is housed), call the Truman State University Career Center, (660) 785-4353.

Graduate School Assistance
The Career Center
has several resources for alumni who would like to pursue graduate education:

  • Panels and workshops on a variety of graduate school-related topics

Career Expos
Alumni are welcome to participate in Career Expos
