HOMECOMING EDITION!
You're Invited to Homecoming This Weekend
Homecoming is the perfect time for alumni to visit campus
and reconnect with old friends, and all alumni, families,
and friends are invited! Make plans to meet your
friends on campus for Homecoming 2009 this weekend
(Oct. 9-11).
Activities on Friday include the 22nd Annual Bulldog Classic
Golf Tournament at the Kirksville Country Club and a Pre-Pep
Rally Picnic in Red Barn Park as well as the Alumni &
Friends Banquet, a Powderpuff Football Game, and the Ebony
Essence Dance. On Saturday, the day begins with the 5K Run
followed by the complimentary coffee and donuts in the
Student Union Building before the parade. A Ribbon-Cutting
Ceremony will be held to celebrate the opening of the Ruth
W. Towne Museum and Visitors Center. To view the complete

Alumni

Honored at
Homecoming
|

Several alumni will be receiving special recognition this
weekend during the Homecoming festivities. The alumni honorees
will be introduced at the Alumni and Friends Banquet, on Friday,
Oct. 9. You can also see them riding down Franklin Street in the Homecoming parade Saturday morning, and
they will be introduced at the football game
in Stokes Stadium Saturday afternoon (Oct. 10).

Kickoff Celebration

Multimillion-Dollar
Fundraising Campaign
Homecoming 2009
marks a special
occasion as Truman
will be publicly
launching the
"Bright Minds Bright
Futures" campaign
over the weekend.
The campaign, the
first comprehensive
campaign in the
University's
history, has a $30
million goal that
includes $20 million
in gifts and
multi-year pledges
and $10 million in
future gift
commitments as
donors include the
University in their
estate plans. The
"Bright Minds Bright
Futures" campaign
celebratory
announcement will
take place during
the Homecoming
festivities this
Friday and Saturday,
Oct. 9-10, 2009, on
the Truman campus.
