All alumni are invited to the Alumni Leadership Conference on Friday, Oct. 26, 2007. This free conference is organized each year by the Alumni Association in conjunction with Homecoming (Oct. 26-28).

If you are currently involved in one of Truman's alumni chapters or clubs or if you have been thinking about reconnecting with your alma mater, this conference is a great opportunity for you to come back and see how the campus has changed and socialize with other alumni. Whether you have been an alumni volunteer or leader for some time or whether you would just like to test the waters to see what volunteer opportunities are available, you are encouraged to attend this conference which will feature presentations and sessions on alumni groups, recruitment of members and planning alumni events.

The keynote speaker for the conference will be Truman alumnus Todd McCubbin (’93). In October 2004, Todd McCubbin became the executive director of the Mizzou Alumni Association and associate vice chancellor for Alumni Relations at the University of Missouri. McCubbin directs the operational and financial activities of the Mizzou Alumni Association. He manages a staff of 20 that provides services to more than 37,000 dues paying members and 244,000 alumni. More than 1,200 volunteers are actively engaged in the Association's outreach efforts and the Association proudly organizes the oldest and largest Homecoming celebration in the country.

The half-day-long conference will take place in the Student Union Building Oct. 26 from 7:45 a.m.-1 p.m. and includes a complimentary breakfast and lunch. All conference attendees who pre-register by Oct. 22 will receive a Truman work-out bag and Homecoming T-shirt. There will also be raffles throughout the morning for great door prizes!

Each of Truman’s alumni chapters and clubs can receive a limited number of stipends to assist with travel expenses for designated representatives to attend the conference.
