1998 Freshman Send-Offs

Over 400 freshman, parents, and alumni from Central Iowa, Chicago, Kansas City, Kirksville, Mid-Missouri and St. Louis attended a Freshman Send-Off in their local area this past August. The annual Send-Offs give area freshman who are heading for Truman State University an opportunity to meet other freshman students from home, talk with others who will live in their residence hall, make car-pool lists and ask Truman representatives last-minute questions. A special thank you to chapter leaders for organizing another successful round of Freshman Send-Offs.

Chicago Spring Reception

Chicago Chapter Spring Reception featured guest speaker, Dr. Robert Dager, head of the Business and Accountancy Division. Over 25 alumni attended the gathering at the Rock Bottom Brewery in May.

The Phantom Returns
On Sept. 19, thirty St. Louis area alumni and friends attended a production of Phantom of the Opera at the Fox Theatre in St. Louis. Prior to the show, they met at the Backstreet Bistro for refreshments.
