Foudrees Issue
Kirk Society Challenge
Long-time
supporters of Truman State University, Charles M. ('66) and Colleen
Foudree are sponsoring the Foudree/Kirk Society Challenge to encourage
new memberships in the John R. Kirk Society. The Foudrees have challenged
Truman alumni and friends to make a gift of $500 or more to the Truman
State University Foundation. The Foudrees will provide a $25,000 gift
to match gifts of $500 or more from individuals who become new members
of the John R. Kirk Society during Fiscal Year 1998-99. Contributions
for the Foudree/Kirk Society Challenge can be designated for any academic
purpose, while the Foudree's matching gift will provide additional support
for Truman's Division of Business and Accountancy. In issuing the challenge,
the Foudree's noted that a "gift to the Foundation helps ensure that
our generation provides a rich learning environment for Truman students,
one that will build our road for the next generation." The challenge
will run through June 30, 1999.

Northeast Regional
Health System
Sponsorship Brings Culture to Truman
Truman State University has received major corporate support from Northeast
Regional Health System (NRHS) for the 1998-99 Kohlenberg Lyceum Series.
The performance of Swan Lake in February will be specifically sponsored
by NRHS.
Each year, the
Kohlenberg Series provides a popular program of entertainment for Truman.
Corporate support for the Series allows the University to continue the
tradition of bringing outstanding cultural events to the Truman campus
for enrichment of students, as well as community members. "The Lyceum
Series provides northeast Missourians an opportunity to experience something
truly unique," said Chuck Boughton, NRHS president and chief executive
officer, "Northeast Regional Health System is proud to play a part in
making the Series possible." Through its sponsorship of the Series,
